Blogs and Flowers

I will admit I am sort of a blogaholic. There are several blogs I have booked marked and check often. OK, 61 in all. One of my favorite blogs to read is Three Men and a Lady.

Michelle and her husband went to the same college as we did. In fact I was in the same ward as Jake when we were single and then once we all got married we found ourselves in the same ward again. They are an amazing couple and I love that I can keep up on their happenings through their blog. I love how creative Michelle is. I am simply in awe of her mad design skills. I seriously can't wait to see what she does in her new home. I even brag that she was on the Nate Berkus show! (Because she was you know!) I secretly wish I could steal her away for a weekend and have her redo a room in my house.

I also love how she is always having giveaways. Seriously, you should check her out. You might even end up with some gorgeous flowers!

Portland

We spend the last 5 days in Portland, OR. Why you ask? Because they were celebrating Fiji Day. That's right the Fijians in OR and Washington got together and planned a big celebration for Fiji Day. Tata played in a rugby tournament. Had a realization that he is getting old. A broken nose, jammed finger and a bruised knee all made him realize that he can't play like he used to. I must give props to his team though they took first place and even beat out a team of high schoolers in the finals! The boys are getting old but can still kick some rugby butt!

For the kids and I one of the highlights of the trip was a visit to the Roloff Farms. The farm featured on the television show: Little People, Big World! We got to see the house, the pumpkin patch, visit the old town, and even meet Mr. Roloff himself.

Tata might say the highlight of the trip for him was visiting the Nike Employee store. We had to get clearance to even enter the store. Very affordable prices for Nike. Although I don't wear tennis shoes all that often I must say these new Nike's I am sporting are very cool.

More to come about the crazy Fijians and their makes!

Goodbye Good Friends!

Last Saturday some of our dearest friends moved across country. We already miss them! We have been a little blue since they left. Vai wanted to go by their old house, and when I explained that they moved, he said they only went for a trip but they should be home now! Nope son, they have a new home. Change is hard for a 6 year old who just lost his best friend. But we know it wasn't a final goodbye, we can't wait to see them again at Christmas.
